new? start here

If you are new here, this page is a good place to start (It’s also a good place to be be if you have been around a while and somehow forgotten what we are about)

We are the college-age community of Christian Fellowship Church

Our primary function is to help college-age young adult followers of Jesus progress from “explorers of Jesus” to “fully functioning followers of Jesus”, who transition into healthy and functioning participation and engagement of the multi-generational church & community.

All of our discussions are built around 3 principal frameworks: journey, formation, & movement. These frameworks help us stay focused on the things that matter most.

>> journey
>> formation
>> movement
>> the things that matter most

Maybe you need to journey with us, maybe you don’t

For some college-age young adults, participation in an age-based community of followers is the most appropriate next step in their journey of faith. It will be the safest place, and it will provide a chance to talk openly about issues and concerns that are specific to a defined season or age of life. For others, participation in an age-based community of followers is not an appropriate next step. For these young adults, their journey of faith has progressed to the point that they are ready to assimilate into the larger multi-generational body of faith, and they recognize, and are excited about their role in the larger community. This is the aim of our community, to help every college-age young adult in the CFC community to recognize his/her place in the larger community and progress toward it. So, maybe you need to journey with us, and maybe you don’t. If you’re not sure, feel free to join us on a Sunday morning for organic, and we can go from there.

Maybe you need to be someplace else

In the same sense that we recognize that some will benefit from an age-based community experience, and others will not. We recognize that after journeying with us for a while, for whatever reason, whether it be personality, language, culture, background, etc, you may not feel connected to our community. Rather than abandon community all together, let us help you find a new community that may represent more of your shared values, and a would be a place that you felt more at home.

So, where do you go from here?

As a start, check our ‘organic’ our weekly gathering for discussion and relationship building. We meet Sundays on CFC’s campus in RM434/435 at 9:15AM. Click here for a description of organic, and what to expect.

Want 2 join us?

Are you new & not sure where to start? Join us for Organic at 9:15AM on Sunday mornings in RM434/435 on CFC's campus. Organic is a weekly gathering where we discuss how to take ownership of our journey of faith, discern next steps in our journey, and find out ways to get connected to a movement of people concerned about the things that matter most.

Quote

At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by “I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless, and you took me in.” Hungry not only for bread, but hungry for love. Naked not only for clothing, but naked of human dignity and respect. Homeless not only for want of a home of bricks, but homeless because of rejection. — Mother Teresa
