If Only
Redeem
The regrets of yesterday can be redeemed for tomorrow.
1. The consequences from our mistakes send the clearest and most memorable messages.
2. Regret is a powerful and effective teacher.
3. God uses our regret as a tool for accomplishing His great work.
4. When we are bound to the guilt and shame of regret, it becomes a weapon of emotional destruction.
“…a light from heaven suddenly shone down around him” (Acts 9:3 NLT).
When he cam to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple (Acts 9:26 NIV).
“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life” (1 Timothy 1:15-16 NIV).
5. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.
6. Jesus came to deal with your regret and make it something more.
7. If God can redeem their regrets, He can certainly redeem yours.
8. You can use regret as a tool for your future.
Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light (Micah 7:8 NLT).
